SEMINAR ON CUSTOMS OPERATIONS - IMPORT AND EXPORT: PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES OF IMPORT-EXPORT AT GILIMEX JOINT STOCK COMPANY
On the morning of May 31, at the District 7 campus, the Department of Taxation - Customs successfully organized a departmental seminar with the theme "Customs Operations - Import and Export: Practical Activities of Import-Export at Gilimex Joint Stock Company." This event attracted the interest and enthusiastic participation of lecturers and a large number of students from the 21D and 22D classes, majoring in Customs - Import and Export.
The seminar was particularly pleased to welcome Ms. Mai Ly, MSc – Head of Sourcing at Gilimex Joint Stock Company – Ho Chi Minh City. With extensive experience and in-depth expertise in the field of import-export, Ms. Mai Ly provided practical and useful insights into the import-export business activities at Gilimex, helping students better understand the processes and challenges in the industry.

Throughout the seminar, students had the opportunity to listen to valuable insights from lecturers and guest speakers on many important aspects of import-export activities. Ms. Mai Ly, MSc, detailed the process of finding international customers, negotiation and signing strategies for import-export contracts, as well as the necessary skills to manage and effectively execute international transactions.

In addition, the lecturers from the Department of Taxation - Customs introduced new market access methods, ways to handle situations arising during the transportation of goods, and important changes in customs regulations. This knowledge not only helps students grasp the theory but also provides valuable practical lessons, making them more confident when entering the actual working environment.
